One Room Challenge: Week 5
Only one more week left! I’m excited and anxious all at once. Since last week, I’ve been determined not to stress out about the things I can’t control. If the chandelier isn’t here in time, it’s no big deal. If some of the DIY projects don’t fall into place, I’ll deal with it just the same. So, in an effort to trick myself into thinking the home stretch will be easy, I’ve decided to focus on the last step of the design – styling the room. But before I get to that, you can check out my previous weeks’ posts here: week 1, week 2, week 3, week 4.
Back to styling, I really want to focus on styling the etagere, specifically. It really is one of my most my prized possessions and has such an impact-ful presence in the room. So, of course, I want to focus on making it shine.

I tend to favor shelves that are brimming with many objects of varying heights. A neutral base with pops of color also draws me in. Not to mention plants. I do love me some houseplants. With this formula in mind, I’ve set about sourcing items from my house, the thrift store, Home Goods, and a few other specialty stores. Things are coming together nicely, but you’ll have to wait for the final reveal!

Great inspiration photos and what a great attitude you have. But you’re right about the etagere–it is stunning!!! 🙂
That etagere! Are you kidding me? It is fabulous and I’m sure the entire room will be stunning.
Looking forward to seeing your shelves…adore that first inspo picture!
Can’t wait for the reveal…yay for the finish line being in sight!
