Photo A Day: Week 7
I only have a few photos to share today, but it’s quality over quantity, right? Right?
Moving on…
This week I had to do a bit of prep for the Little Ballerina’s Valentine’s Day party at school. I decided to go a bit further than the typical card with a lollipop and make something homemade & yummy. I’ve coined this Cupid Crunch. It’s pretty simple to make, and you probably can find a million recipes for some type of variation of it. If there’s a holiday, there’s a chocolate snack mix recipe for it. Pinterest will turn up hundreds of results for it, I’m sure.
I mixed together popcorn, mini pretzels, Valentine M & M’s, rice Chex, and pink sprinkles drizzled with marshmallow flavored candy melts. Easy & delish!
I easily put this together after a pre-Valentine’s date night with the hubby.
All bagged up and ready to go the next morning….
I have been on a quest for the most perfect red-orange nail polish. Yes, I’m serious. I wanted something that was not too red and not too orange. Luckily, my good friend (who appropriately calls herself Glamour Shark) has a nailpolish collection that would rival even the largest nail salon you know of. And she graciously allowed me to borrow a few to sample.
From left to right, the colors are Essie Lacquered Up, Essie Snap Happy, Essie Geranium, and OPI Monsooner or Later. The two on the right were the top contenders, but the Essie Geranium won by default. I wasn’t able to get the OPI bottle open, but I’m not giving up. Once Glamour Shark gets the bottle open, I’m going to take OPI Monsooner or Later for a spin to see how it stacks up against Essie Geranium. I can already tell it’ll be a tough battle!
Saturday morning breakfast….
