Best DIY Bathroom Cleaner
Would you believe I’ve had this post in draft form for almost a year now?! Since I’m so over Winter and this snow, I figured a ‘Spring cleaning’ kind of post would brighten up my days. Even though cleaning is still no day at the beach. 🙂
I conjured up this recipe after researching a few earth-friendly cleaners. I found this one to be as good, if not better because I can pronounce all the ingredients, than my most beloved bathroom cleaner that contains those cute little bubbles who scrub. It cuts through dirt easily, and because I can customize the essential oils to my liking, it smells heavenly, too. Therefore, I deem this one the BEST DIY Bathroom Cleaner out there!
I typically just throw a bit of this and that in the spray bottle without really measuring, but I will provide measurements for you below. As long as the ratios and proportions remain the same, though, you should be good to go.
2 Tbsp Borax
2 Tbsp White Vinegar
1 Tbsp Castille Soap
16 oz. Water
Essential Oils: 10-20 drops total
I like to use a mix of lavender with almond castile soap. Smells amazing!
That’s it! Let me know if you try it out.
What’s the best bathroom cleaner you’ve tried?
NOTE: I’m still working on something to cut through grease to help clean my kitchen. I haven’t found anything that works as well as the commercial stuff, yet, but I’ll let you know when I do.
P.S.: I found the Casabella spray bottle pictured above at a discount store for over half off the price and I absolutely love them! They have spray and stream functions, and the whole top twists off so you can effectively clean the inside. Definitely worth the splurge IMO.
