{Loving} Houseplants
It’s no secret that I love houseplants. If you come to my home, you’ll notice that I have quite a few. I’m not sure how healthy they all look, considering I don’t have the greenest of thumbs, but I do like having them around.
Here’s a roundup of all the ones currently taking up residence in my house…
Succulents
Many of my succulents have bit the dust. Even though they are fairly easy to grow, I blame the lack of sun in my home for their untimely demises. The ones I do have left are my jade, aloe, and snake plant. All 3 are really easy to care for.
Golden Pothos (unpictured)
I used to have a couple of pothos plants, but I’m down to one now. I left one outside for too long in the chilly weather and the others just died for some unknown reason. They are so inexpensive and pretty easy to care for, though, so I’d suggest them to anyone.
ZZ Plant
One of my faves is my zz plant. Really easy to care for and really pretty. I’d like to add another, I just can’t quite figure out where I would put it.
Peace Lily
This peace lily is a very new member of our family, and I’m so happy with how she looks here. Apparently, they only require low light, so this spot should be perfect.
Fiddle Leaf Fig Tree
And last but certainly not least, my fiddle leaf fig. Isn’t she a beaut? I think her growth was a bit stunted because of a lack of sunlight, but after putting her outside last August, she’s grown so much and the new leaves are much larger than the older ones, which is a sign of adequate sun exposure. We had a bit of trouble with some leaves getting scorched because I forgot that I’m supposed to acclimate the plants to the outdoors slowly, but she’s made a speedy recovery. I just wish I had put her outside earlier in the Spring. She might have grown even more!
[…] A neutral base with pops of color also draws me in. Not to mention plants. I do love me some houseplants. With this formula in mind, I’ve set about sourcing items from my house, the thrift store, […]
Awesome update on the FLF! How is it doing now?
