Warm & Cozy Living Room Design

This is a design board I put together for a friend not too long ago.  She has since decided to go in a different direction with her living room (which is still a work in progress), but I still thought I’d share it.   I put these visual boards together for my own home all the time and I love them.  I find they are really helpful in assessing how the things floating around in my head will really look together.
The challenge here was to use the main furniture pieces in place but add to the overall design for a more polished and grown-up look.  We established a color scheme and sourced some inexpensive decor items.  All for $500 or less.

The remainder of the plan was to also add more wood elements for warmth and to switch out her TV stand with a thrifted console/dresser.  The overall mood is very warm, cozy, and comfy.  Even though this plan has been scrapped, this is still a living room I’d love to hang out in.
