Great DIY Tutorials Around the Blogosphere

There are a handful of great blogs I read religiously, and they are all extremely inspiring and absolutely convince me that I can accomplish just about anything….even if it does involve power tools.  I thought I’d round up a few DIY tutorials that have caught my interest and are on my radar to try out in the future.

Jenny Komenda from Little Green Notebook has an amazing sense of interior design style and is totally not afraid of color.  She’s my kind of girl!  Though you can trust any of her tutorials to be informative, fresh, and very approachable, this one for a DIY stair runner is definitely at the top of the list.

This tutorial by Janell of House of Fifty is an oldie but goodie.  It’s from way back in 2010, but I believe it’s still one of the best tutorials on the internet for sewing professional looking drapes.  Janell provides ample photos and instructions in a series of posts that would help even a sewing amateur create the drapes of his/her dreams.

And how awesome is this tutorial for a DIY platform bed from Kelly of View Along the Way????  Though I’m not deluded enough to believe I can bust out one of these babies by myself, I certainly feel like I can at least make that really cool nailhead headboard.  Kelly provides a great tutorial full of helpful details that will have you revving up your circular saw in no time.  Now, I just have to convince my husband that we can actually pull this off….
