Be Home Goods Happy

I got some pretty great things from Home Goods recently.

Home Goods Finds

1)  Based on an Instagram tip from Erika Ward of Blu Label Bungalow, I ran to my nearest Home Goods in search of a preserved boxwood  (follow me @the_kim_collective).  I have been in love with these since forever!  I’ve begun styling the entryway console I blogged about some time ago and have been pining for a preserved boxwood to add some greenery to that area.  These things can get pretty pricey, so I was certainly hesitant to pull the trigger.  A similar size globe retails for $75 at Restoration Hardware.

This is the one I picked up and it’s just what I had in mind – the round shape, the cement pot – PERFECTION!

2)  While there, I also picked up a few frames because, of course, one can never have too many picture frames.  I’m brainstorming on the gallery wall that will soon go in my upstairs hallway and I’ll be adding some small colorful pieces of artwork up there, as well (in a different area than the gallery wall).  The large frames (there are 2) are for the colorful artwork, and the small one is just to add a little pizzazz since I plan to incorporate wood tones in a lot of the frames in the gallery wall.  All three were on clearance at amazing prices.

3)  I also scooped up this Broyhill plant stand.  It’s great and is an exact match for the drapes I’m planning for the living/dining area.  Finally, Fabiana has a stylish place to call home.

4)  Lastly, I picked up this huge basket, also on clearance, to house the toys we keep in the living room.  I wanted something textural that would be flexible enough to hold up to toddlers aplenty.  This one fits the bill and the price was definitely right!  By the way, it passed the flexibility test when my nephew literally smashed the side in it trying to reach the bottom.  It bounced right back into shape.  Jackpot!
