Week In Review: Pools & Pearls

Just a few things that made me smile this week….

Swimming practice resumed this week for the Princess, and she’s showing some great improvement.  She jumped into the deep end without holding the instructor’s hand and refused to wear the floaty around her waist, even though all the other kids wanted one.  I’m so proud of her!

A friend is planning to DIY a gorgeous piece of pearl jewelry and I can’t wait to see it.  I think I even want one for myself.  Hopefully, she’ll let me feature it here on the blog.

The new Ikea catalog is here!  So many good things in this one & quite a few new-to-me items I never noticed before.  I’ll be sure to let you know all my favorites just like I did last year.

Talk about nostalgia!  The photo of this shirt truly made me smile.  About 16 years ago, I bought a shirt almost identical to this one.  I got it from the Ralph Lauren section of the children’s department in Bloomingdale’s when I worked there in high school.  I kept that shirt for years, and it was the softest, most comfortable shirt EVER.  I wore it constantly.  For some odd reason, I tossed it when I was cleaning my closet a few years ago, and I’ve regretted it ever since.  So much so, that I might check this one out to see if it would be a suitable replacement.
