{Color Cues} Blush and Pink Paint Colors

Since Pantone’s Color of the year for 2016 is Rose Quartz, I thought it would be interesting to repost my ode to blush and pink tones from way back in 2013.  Enjoy!

In honor of Valentine’s Day and the month of love, I thought I’d put together a little post I’ve had brewing in my head for a while.  I am absolutely in love with rooms covered in pink paint.  There, I’ve admitted it. I’m not really a pink kind of girl, and I fully detested it growing up.  I just never liked how the color is SO forced on females, like just because I have 2 X-chromosomes, I have no other choice than to like the color.  Since I’ve gotten older, though, I have come to appreciate the color more.  And I’m not talking baby pink or Barbie pink paint colors.  No sir!  Though they have their place, I’m talking about the sophisticated, subtle, and refined shades of pink.

I love the color in dressing rooms/closets, living rooms, bathrooms, etc.  But I think pink can look especially refined in office spaces, too.  Here are a few inspiration pics at the top of my list for ‘blush & pinks done right’.

I know the last pic doesn’t actually look like an office, but the paint color is perfect.  I’m actually planning to paint an area in my house a blush pink color.  (Shhhh.  Don’t tell my husband, though.  He already made a big deal when I purchased a pink Kitchenaid stand mixer.)

UPDATE:  I actually wanted to paint my main bathroom a blush pink color, but 3 years later…..that still hasn’t happened.
